Demo websites, mockups and concepts

When you request a demo, we often design and build a real, working preview of your future website or platform — before any contract is signed. That demo is our investment in you. It comes with clear rules:

• Every demo, mockup, concept design and pitch website remains the exclusive property of Tap Aruba.
• Demos are shared for evaluation only. Receiving or viewing a demo does not grant any license or right to use it.
• The design, layout, code, text, animations and concept may not be copied, reproduced, adapted, published or rebuilt — not by you, and not by anyone else on your behalf (another developer, agency or freelancer).
• Ownership or usage rights transfer only when the project is agreed and paid under its proposal or contract.
• What's yours stays yours: photos, logos and brand materials you provide remain your property — always, demo or no demo.

The 50% deposit — where a demo becomes your project

A demo is a finished idea, not an open project. While it is still a demo we don't take change requests on it — it stays exactly as we designed it.

The 50% deposit is what starts the real work. From the moment it is paid, the project becomes a collaboration: we build it around your content, your photos and your feedback, and we make the revisions agreed in your proposal. Step by step, our concept turns into your website.

Ownership follows the same path but finishes at the end: during the build the work is still ours to protect, and it becomes fully and permanently yours once the balance is settled — see Payment & Ownership.

What copyright covers

Everything we create — websites, designs, code, graphics, copy, video and 3D work — is protected by copyright from the moment it is created under Aruban copyright law (the Auteursverordening). No registration is needed for that protection to exist.

• Until a project is paid in full, all work we created remains the property of Tap Aruba.
• On full payment, you receive the rights described in your proposal or contract.
• Materials you supply — your photos, logo, brand and text — are and remain your property; we only use them to build your project (and demos of it).
• Tap Aruba may display completed work in its portfolio and marketing, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

When work becomes yours

• The demo comes first and costs you nothing — that's our pitch to you. When you like it and want to work with us, the project starts with 50% upfront, and the remaining 50% on completion — unless your proposal says otherwise.
• On full payment your website goes live as yours — your brand, your content, your customers, published under your name and used however your business needs.
• We keep it running and up to date. Too many sites launch and then never get touched again. We look after the technical side — hosting, security and updates — so yours stays fast, online and current instead of going stale the moment it launches. You focus on your business; we keep the site healthy behind it.
• It keeps growing with you. Once the site is live, just tell us what you need — a new page, a seasonal promo, updated photos, a fresh look. We quote each update before we start, or it runs under a maintenance plan. Your website keeps up with your business instead of falling behind it.
• If a project is cancelled or unpaid, all work — including anything already shared for review — remains Tap Aruba property and may not be used.
